A cannabinoid is a naturally occurring chemical compound like Delta-8 THC.

A hemp-derived compound called delta-8 THC is closely related to delta-9 THC, or THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, which gives users the high they feel. Similar to garden-variety marijuana, delta-8 THC can be vaporised or consumed. However, Which delta 8 carts are the best? It is rarely smoked. According to its fans, it relieves pain and provides relaxation without causing intense highs that can turn into paranoia or anxiety.

Although this compound has been studied for decades, it has remained relatively unexplored. Taking the first survey of delta-8 THC users as part of our public health responsibilities, we discovered who was using it and why they were using it. Which delta 8 carts are the best? And how it affected them. One of the isomers of THC is delta-8 THC. It has a lower affinity for the endocannabinoid receptor CB1 in the brain due to the position of a double bond in the carbon ring.

As a result, delta-8 THC may be less potent and cause a less intense high than THC. Its natural concentrations in raw bud and flower are not high enough for effective smoking. The Drug Enforcement Administration considers artificially synthesised delta-8 THC illegal because it requires large amounts of plant material or transformation from another cannabinoid like CBD. Even so, delta-8 THC products have grown rapidly in the hemp industry.

They seem especially popular in areas where THC products are illegal or medical access is difficult. Researchers have yet to conduct comprehensive research into this component of cannabis. In 1973, a study found that delta-8 THC had similar effects to THC but was not as intense. One study, published in 1995, proposed the use of delta-8 THC to treat the adverse effects of chemotherapy.

Only a dozen people were involved in this study, and policymakers are unaware of its existence. The sale of delta-8 THC products has been blocked in over a dozen U.S. states due to a lack of research on its psychoactive effects and concerns regarding contamination with heavy metals and other toxic substances.

Delta-8 THC was consumed mostly as concentrates which were eaten as edibles, tinctures, or vaporised – methods of consumption that are potentially safer than smoking. A total of half of the survey participants used delta-8 THC to treat health or medical conditions, and nearly one-third of the respondents said they exclusively used delta-8 THC for health purposes – they didn’t just use it for pleasure. Delta-9 THC is also used to treat depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and stress.
